"Great meeting Tuesday night! I am not sure if I am overwhelmed or extra inspired. Anyway, I am interested in container gardening (among other things).
I am considering the idea of having the students bring in a container (bucket, bowl, cup, old boot), fill it up with amended soil, a few seeds, and a couple squirts of water. Then, the students will take it home for the summer, tend to it, and bring back the harvest; kind of a County Fair concept.
Of course we would also do some things at school, but this way they can repurpose an item and use it to begin a container garden. I am open to suggestions regarding containers and welcome your thoughts and feedback."
